Data Storage & Sync

Time Memos uses Apple's CloudKit to store and sync your data across your devices. This means:

• Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's security infrastructure
• We (Starbelly Software, LLC.) have no ability to access your data
• Only you can see your time memos through your Apple devices signed into your iCloud account

What Data Time Memos Stores

Time Memos stores the following information for each memo you create:

• Timestamp - The date and time of the memo
• Label - Any text you add to describe the memo
• Emoji - The emoji associated with the memo
• Location - If you enable location tracking, the coordinates and place name (optional, you control this)

Location Data

Location tracking is off by default. If you choose to enable it:

• Location is captured only when you create a new memo
• Location data is stored with your memo in your iCloud account
• We do not have access to your location data
• You can disable location tracking at any time in Settings
• You can remove location from individual memos

Spotlight Search

Time Memos can index your memos for Spotlight search. This feature:

• Uses Apple's on-device indexing - data never leaves your device
• Is optional and can be disabled in Settings
• Makes your memos searchable through iOS Spotlight and Siri
• All processing happens locally on your device

Analytics & Tracking

The App

The Time Memos app does not include:

• Third-party analytics SDKs
• Advertising frameworks
• User tracking or behavior analysis
• Any form of data collection by us

This Website

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This helps us improve the documentation and user experience. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent
• General location (country/region level)
• Device type and browser
• Interactions with the URL builder tool (field names only, not your data)

No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out of analytics tracking using the toggle below — your preference is saved in your browser.

Email Signup / Notify Me

If you sign up to be notified when Time Memos launches, we collect:

• Email address - Required, to notify you about the launch
• First name - Optional, to personalize communications
• Use case - Optional, helps us understand how you'd use the app
• Update preference - Whether you'd like occasional updates from Starbelly Software, LLC.

This information is stored securely and used solely to:

• Notify you when Time Memos becomes available
• Send occasional updates only if you opted in

We will never sell your email address or share it with third parties. You can request deletion of your contact information at any time by emailing us.

Affiliate Links

Data Export

You can export your data at any time using the share feature in the app. Exports can be formatted as:

• Plain text (human-readable)
• JSON (for use with other tools)

Exported data goes directly to your device or sharing destination of choice. We never see or process your exports.

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Delete individual memos at any time within the app
• Uninstalling the app removes all local data
• iCloud data can be managed through your iCloud settings

Children's Privacy

Time Memos does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not require account creation and stores all data in the user's own iCloud account.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates.
